NOW RECRUITING: ACTION BREAK COORDINATOR

We are looking for someone to lead our School Holiday program. Action Break is an active school holiday program for children aged 5-12 years. It's success largely relies on the energy that is brought to the program by the staff. The coordinator role is essential in ensuring that the program is always on the move and that all kids and staff are having a great time.

The Commitment
  • Full time hours during school holidays M-F 8:30-4:30pm. Program coordination, delivering activities, Fortnightly wrap up newsletters sent to parents, gathering data, ensuring safety.
  • 5 hours of flexible wrap up time in week 1 of term 1. Ensuring things are packed away correctly, wrap up parent newsletter, debrief for next time, collate feedback survey results.
  • We will consider a partial commitment to accommodate the right person.

The Ideal Person for this role would:

  • Be enthusiastic about working with young people aged 5-12 years
  • Not be afraid to "get amongst it", doing the activities with the kids and having fun
  • Be able to lead and inspire a young team of staff who they will be working along side
  • Not be afraid to have difficult conversations with parents
  • Be organized and ensure safety is being considered at all times.
We think this role would suit;
  • Someone who works at a school who will also be on school holidays - like a teacher, teachers aid or support officer.
  • A parent who is looking for work that they can bring their kids along to (for free!)
  • Anyone who is not afraid of fun and ready to deliver a great spread of school holiday activities
Other things you need to know;
  • This is a casual role paid at $35.28/hour (based off candidate being 20+ years)
  • You must have or be willing to obtain - WWCC, Police Check, First Aid (including CPR)
