Looking to earn some money and have fun these school holidays? Join the team at the Y and help deliver our Action Break program!
We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and energetic young people to join our team, including:
- Program Coaches (15+)
- Lead Program Coaches (18+)
Our programs are all about young people supporting young people, so if you enjoy being active, working with kids, and making a positive impact in your community — we want to hear from you.
Why work at the Y?
Working in our school holiday programs is fun, rewarding, and active — it won’t feel like a typical job! From running the rock climbing wall and leading games, to assisting on excursions and creating great experiences for kids, no two days are the same.
You’ll also receive:
- Training before the school holidays
- Ongoing support from our team
- The chance to work alongside a fun and supportive group (bring your friends!)
What we’re looking for
Successful candidates will:
- Be confident, energetic, and ready to get involved
- Enjoy working with children and being active
- Take initiative and lead activities
- Be reliable and able to work independently when required
- Bring a positive attitude and team spirit
Key details
- Casual roles available during all school holiday periods
- Must be available for at least 3 shifts per week across a minimum of 2 weeks of the school holidays
- Group interviews: May 14 & 15 at 3:00pm
- Successful applicants notified: by May 20
